Veterans Day Prayer Service

You are invited to a Veterans Day Prayer service at 10 a.m. in the historic church. Following the service, we’ll proceed to the churchyard for a brief ceremony that will include the playing of “Taps” and a hand salute (as appropriate for active duty military/veterans) or with reverence, to the 109 known veterans (Revolutionary War, Civil War, World Wars 1 & 2, Cold War, Korean War & Vietnam) buried in the Grace cemetery and all deceased men and women who have served our country in uniform. All graves of known veterans have a veterans marker and U.S. flag. The historic church bell (ca 1725) will then be tolled 21 times as part of the nationwide “Bells of Peace” initiative.
