Centering Prayer
April 14 @ 8:30 am - 9:30 am

Grace’s in-person Centering Prayer group practices a particular kind of wordless, contemplative prayer grounded in Matthew 6:8 – “Wherever you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to the Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.” Developed in its modern form by the late Fr. Thomas Keating, it has deep roots in ancient contemplative Christian spirituality. It is open to all and first-timers are provided brief instruction. The experience begins at 8:30 a.m. Tuesdays with short readings about Centering Prayer practice and from Scripture. Then comes 20 minutes of silence and a time for reflection – all concluding by 9:30 a.m.
