Cemetery Workshop

Interested in learning more about how our volunteer cemetery committee maintains historic markers? Attend a hands-on workshop from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 18 right here at Grace. The group will start with a cemetery gravestone cleaning overview in the Choir Room, followed by hands-on practice in the cemetery. Grave sites to be restored include some of the 111 known veterans interred in the historic cemetery. The workshop will utilize methods and materials approved by the Virginia Department of Historic Services and the U.S. Veterans Administration. Cleaning materials, tools and lunch will be provided. Wear comfortable outdoor work clothes and bring a hat and gloves.
