March 30 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Mission: Joy is a documentary that chronicles the last meeting in 2015 of two deeply spiritual old friends: the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu, who died in December. The film offers the two Nobel Peace Prize Laureates’ reflections on joy and suffering during an often playful film that offers a map to living lightly in dark
times. The screening will conclude with a brief discussion about how to bring more joy into our world. Those who attend the earlier screening are invited to attend the noon worship service with healing in the historic church; those who attend the 6 p.m. screening will be offered light snacks. We’re limiting the participants to 50 per screening, as the Parish Hall screen is not that large and to accommodate the sound equipment on hand and logistics. Please call the office, 757-898-3261, or email RSVP@GraceChurchYorktown.org to let us know you will attend.
